Good Fortune Takes a Turn

I was going to pack a good left-hand punch for the month of March and talk about this month's topic from the lens of toxic mothering. But I decided to take a sharp right turn after a strange series of fortunate events. This month will be a brief priview into the life of a Saint. After all remaining still enough to follow through with shadow work requires the patience of one.

Today I was out and about running errands as usual trying to make the most of the daylight hours. My stomach heard the call to a local restaurant and we both agreed that fuel and fats were needed to continue my next task. While there I noticed right away that each counter space was full of saints just as I was also admiring their sweet little rose garden encircling the parking lot on my way in. There were big saints, small saints, male saints, female saints and Joan of Arc. Each one adding a nice glow to the atmosphere.

Saint Bernadette
Saint Bernadette

One stately statue in particular caught my attention, St. Bernadette Soubirous of Lourdes. Immediatedly I looked into her life and who she is the patronness of. Her feast day is in April but also in February, so her landing place here in March seems fitting as well. According to ai she watches over: Lourdes, France, bodily illness, poverty, people ridiculed for their faith, and shepherds.

Do you see the blue highlighter? That is taken directly from an ai search and you can also look up her full story easily. I will just say that she came from poverty, had health issues as a result of poverty, and instead of her destruction a higher force began working in her life. Of course she saw apparitions, heard messages and also was called crazy and rediculed for it. Her story continues to a beautifying end. An important thing to note is that much of her story was centered around healing water. She was told in a vision to drink a particular spring water, bathe in it and to eat the herbs that grew around it.

While it may have been more fun to discuss this month's topic by opening pandora's box, instead we can look into a quote from Saint Bernadette in relationship to the healing effects of the spring water she frequented: One must have faith and pray; the water will have no virtue without faith".

How does this relate to the topic of destroyer you ask? Caroline Myss Archetype Cards

DESTROYER

Light Attributes : Releasing what is potentially destructive. Preparing for new life.

Shadow Atributes: Intoxication with destructive power. Destroying others'dreams or potential.

I heard recently that we must have cooling conversations. I liken the idea of cooling conversations to the miraculous enlightening effects of water that has been blessed by higher beings. Of course you cannot go out into the world and do stupid actions and expect water to just fix it for you. Instead, there is a healing effect of truthful words on the being. Whether the words come from a holy book, holy person or holy place, if they are connected to source as water freely flows through earth forming a spring, their very essence, or vibration will cause the body to rejuvinate itself. This is a cooling effect, this is a cooling conversation. This will prepare the body for new life to regenerate and the cycle continues.

In contrast, a person in the negative form of destruction uses words, actions and their life as a threat to those who do not fall in line with their demands. Their means of speaking is not infused with inspiration and joy is not a result in their wake. Thristing for power and notariety, money or prestige they run in circles creating noise and heat that is damaging and violent. Their words are unhealthy enforcements, their floors are dirty and their animals bite.

No one is saying to start believing in faith healing. But like the healing effect of alkaline water higher vibrations also share a rippling effect on the area around it. Notice just how one person can change a situation for the better or for the worse. How to start making the change from negative destruction to rejuvination is a good question. The technique this time can be used along with last months technique.

It is very simple. Upon completion of Breath of Fire (see February posting), turn your attention to your heart. Say one kind word, affirmation or mantra. For example - repeat the word love, or smile, or joy. Let the word be simple. Start to notice how you feel after saying it for a minute or so. Use this little key as needed throughout the day. Give yourself permission to reset your day at any time. Notice how this one small shift will attract more actions that make your heart happy.

I am not teaching kriyas that you will learn from kriya master. My hope is that as one navigates though each day the golden thread of awareness begins to weave it's way. Bright Blessings until the next time.
